[6bone] review of pTLA request NDSOFTWARE

6bone Folk,

The open review period for the NDSOFTWARE pTLA request has closed. Please 
don't send any more comments to the list. The topic has been well aired, 
and we need to not tie up the mail list any longer.

As for a decision, I am afraid that there are difficult issues that have 
been raised that make it difficult for me alone to make a decision. It was 
also overly contentious and potentially divisive for our community.

Thus in the spirit of trying to come up with a solution that will gain 
consensus, I have decided to create an ad hoc pTLA review group of 5 people 
to review this request, arrive at a decision, and then summarize the issues 
for the 6bone list. This may be a prototype for what we will need to do as 
we become more involved with the registries over the next year.

So, I promise to have a result for you by the end of next week, 8 November.


If this process does not work out, we can all invent another. Meanwhile, 
please be patient, and understanding.
