IPv6: Enet. problem

Were the NT machines sending native IPv6 or were they using tunnels
or "6 over 4" encapsulation? In other words, following the ethernet
header with type 0x0800, was there an IPv4 header with protocol = 41
decimal? Or was it an IPv6 header? The former would be a
configuration error, the latter would be very puzzling.
