v6 numbering confusion

Hi all,

I'm currently pestering pTLAs and pNLAs to accept tunnels from us as we
take our first stab at a test v6 deployment. Our main motives for testing
at this stage are to get a firm grip of the administrative issues
surrounding the operation of a diversely-connected v6 network, including
application of route policy and associated filtering, and processes for
the delegation of addresses to downstream customer networks.

One issue that confuses me slightly is that of the aggregation of addresses.
If one pTLA delegates a 48-bit prefix to us, should we then announce that
prefix to any successive pTLAs who allow us to build a tunnel to them?

This sounds a bit like the hole-punching that abounds with current IPv4
numbering and aggregation. Isn't this a bad thing?

Have I missed some basic point? [probably -- please bear with me; I'm
still learning :)]
