The other possibility is that someone added a list (an exploder) to the 6bone
list, and people on that list have suddenly started getting traffic that they
never intended, and want to make it go away.   That could even happen
if an address that used to be a valid address for an individual on the
list was reinstated as the address of a list (and I have seen sillier
things happen...)
