linux configuration question

	Hello.

	Anybody knows if an ethernet interface can be configured with an IPv6
address without be configured with IPv4 configuration?

	I would like to configure eth0 with only IPv6 address, but when I
remove IPv4 address (with linuxconf) the interface goes down.

	I'm using RedHat 6.0
