Rob Rockell had speculated to me that it looked as if someone was not filtering their downstreams, and one of their 
leaf-nodes descided to advertise default. He was looking into it, but also noted that he didn't see it in his (Sprint's) routing table due to his agressive filtering (one of those things we hope to harden on the 6bone!).
