I'm awefully new to the IPv^ ballgame, but isn't there leeway for
dual-homing on the same interface to ease transition from one
prefix to another?

|The trick is always another layer of indirection. The DNS has provided
|good names for hosts. What we need is a way to name CIDRized blocks of
|addresses cleanly, so that the configurations can use names which
|today point at the old addresses and tomorrow point at the new...
