32 is not a problem, but a hex number looks like a name and gets
sent off for DNS resolving. For example when I ask Netscape for
http://abcdef1234567890abcdef1234567890
it attaches my default domain and says:

Fatal Error 500

Can't Access Document: 
     http://abcdef1234567890abcdef1234567890.hursley.ibm.com/. 

Reason: Can't locate remote host: 
     abcdef1234567890abcdef1234567890.hursley.ibm.com.
