Contacting
I am currently living in Zürich, Switzerland
Preferred way of contact is per email at:
jeroen@unfix.org.
Which is of course nicely filtered by the excellent
SpamAssassin and
ClamAV utilities using milter from Postfix.
SpamAssassin uses the default Debian provided rules
in addition of the OpenProtect's SpamAssassin and SA Updates gpg-signed channels which provides updates of the rules on a daily basis.
The policy is set to discard all viruses and spam automatically thus I won't see them, except maybe in the log files that they are thrown away.
PGP signing or encrypting your email makes sure that it will pass for sure.
SixXS related messages being sent to my private
addresses will be silently discarded.
Check the SixXS Contact page how to contact us.
Note also that the SixXS contact address is info@sixxs.net
and not the personal addresses of the staff members, this is of course also noted on the
contact page, but is apparently not clear enough for quite a number of people.
Communications related to IBM can use the internal IBM Bluepages for finding the contact information or check my ZRL homepage.
VoIP, Online Messaging, NIC Handle
Mail me first if you think I don't know your caller-id/nickname.
Unknown caller-id or (nick)name means auto-ignore and discard.
Having customizable/programmable software is very handy for these reasons.
To avoid expensive long distance phone calls I am now also reachable over VoIP:
As many people use different electronic messaging programs, I have settled on using a
Screen with Irssi
which connects to a BitlBee and several IRC networks, this provides me with:
Jabber/XMPP is also the protocol used for Google Talk Chat and LiveJournal Talk/Gizmo.
Note that for Google Talk Voice, you'll have to use my special Voice-only account, which is linked into my VoIP setup.
Note that my irssi is always on /away, with "not reading, for SixXS use info@sixxs.net, other things can go here and I'll most likely read it later", this is a hint: no SixXS related things and that I am not reading it at all most of the time, as such be patient if you want a response and don't logoff; easier in general is to send email.
One can also lookup my current address in the
RIPE registry, my handle is:
JRM1-RIPE.
Email is much quicker though and is sure to reach me even when I am
not available at that moment.
PGP Key
My PGP keyID is 333E7C23, fingerprint 48E8 2BD4 3B4A 622E 405C 3A35 29AA 2852 333E 7C23.
Get it from this host directly.
It is also listed in Biglumber and using Henk P. Penning's PGP Pathfinder you can find your trust path from me to you.
All electronic mail messages sent by me are PGP signed using this key.
I am using the Proof of email ownership system, thus one can automatically verify my messages with the provided information.
If the message is not signed by this key or the verification fails then the message did
not come from me. Next to the message being PGP signed it will be sent through purgatory.unfix.org, which handles mail delivery directly to the target domain's MX's over both IPv4 and IPv6.
"Social" Networking
Due to the use of social networks I of course got pulled into a couple of them, the ones that I at least sometimes actually look at are:
If you one time encountered me and have one of those profiles, don't hesitate to add me.
