Radio.Unfix
Using IPv6 Multicast everybody with at least 128kbit/s upstream can start their own Internet Radio Station with an unlimited amount of possible endusers who are listening to your radio!
For this I have created Radio.Unfix, a simple RTP Multicast IPv6 streamer that gets it's next song from a
MySQL database, either from a votequeue or random when that votequeue is empty.
Adding a small PHP frontend and a gathering mechanism for indexing the mp3's into the database et voila one full blown Internet Radio system with voting capability.
Jinzora Support
With the advent of the extremely cool
Jinzora Media Jukebox, I've added Jinzora special Jinzora support. Instead of having Radio.Unfix have all the information in it's own mysql database, the database is only used for the playlist, no titles, no nothing, only filenames. These filenames get inserted by a Jinzora Unfix.Radio jukebox plugin. Available soon(tm), testing is being done at the
Radio.Unfix website.
How to listen?
You can listen to Radio.Unfix is when connected to the
SixXS POPs supporting multicast. Point your IPv6 Multicast RTP Mp3 player at:
rtp://radio.unfix.org:1833 and tune in.
