Unfix does Dynamo 1998

The 29st,30st,31st May and 1st of June 1998 it was party time again. In other words it was time for yet another Dynamo Open Air at the icerink in Eindhoven the Netherlands... So Clone, Spook and I (fuzzel) went there to have some phun!

Well actually we got the idea to go there one week before the festival... So the week before the festival, on a thursday around 24:00 I ran to the bank ripped money from it and passed it to Clone, who would be able to get the cards... Clone succesfully arranged the cards and so we had one week to get our stuffs together. Two days before the festival I and Clone went out to get a tent, food, drinks and of course, something which comes very happy when you try to sleep over there... some inflatable air-cushioned beds. We actually were able to collect these much needed items and went on our trip to the festival...

Well getting there IS a problem... when we finally arrived by train at the trainstation in Eindhoven, there where a load of other people who prolly have had the same idea to go early in the morning as it was very crowded there to get on a free busride to the festival site... If we'd gone there ourselfs we would have to wait at the festival site like the other 10 fold the people who where waiting at the trainstation... So we waited in line at the trainstation, sneaking past the guys who asked everybody else some kind of coins for the busride... which you apparently had to buy at the beginning of the line... but we didn't stand there as we skipped to the middle part :) Finally we were put into an overcrowded bus and got droven to the festival site...

Some things we actually learned of this for a next time:

• Come by car and park it in the neighbourhood.
  That is much easier and faster than using the trains and the dynamo-provided bus...
• Don't use a prefactured tent but:
  Take some metal poles and a big canvas. Make a tent from that... bigger, cheaper and more robust than a small, expensive, prefactured tent!
• Put tents, bags etc. on a cart whenever moving them around.
• Bring more food, drinks etc.
  We have a cart anyway...
• Try to get into the crew...or buy yourself in... This IS going to be difficult.
